Madrid Centro Centro

A project created by the city government of Madrid to connect culture and citizens in the historical “Eje Recoletos-Prado” (a large avenue with the main museums and cultural institutions of Spain). Housed in the Palace of Cibeles which was built in the 18th century as the mail centre for the whole country.

Horseshoeshape worked with Manterola, a Barcelona based company, and their graphic design team to create software for two five metre long multitouch interactive tables and a four metre interactive wall. The software provides information about Madrid, the building and its immediate neighbours and the history of the whole “Art Avenue”. Content is viewable in both Spanish and English. Full content management systems were provided for all three systems.
